Proper Running Form
Many people would love to run but unfortunately have aches and pains that make it extremely difficult to do. But sometimes, it's how we run that causes our problems. Proper running form is essential to preventing injury. A common problem with new runners is shin splints and knee problems. New runners often try to run like they walk, which causes them to overuse the muscles on the front of their lower leg, causing nagging achy pain. With a little training and attention to form, changing the way you run can bring much needed relief. At Chiro Cleveland, we have not tried the brand of running shoe featured in this video but we do feel it's a great introduction to proper running form. |
