SciaticaSciatica is commonly diagnosed when there is any pain that travels down the leg. Unfortunately it is also often misdiagnosed.
True sciatic pain is when pressure on the sciatic nerve located in the leg causes a shooting pain. Sometimes the pain starts at the hip but other times it is caused from pressure on the nerves located in the lumbar spine (low back) from a herniated disc. Here at Chiro Cleveland, we take any pain that travels down the leg very seriously and we want to find the true cause of pain. Often times we refer our patients out for an MRI so we can have a closer look. The MRI shows areas of the low back that are not visible on an X-Ray. |
